I attended the Marvelous press event at Tokyo Game Show last year, and it was terrific and exciting, so I was gonna do a write-up of it, but for whatever reason, that didn't happen. So now I have this leftover video, featuring Vinnk from 4CR, who did a perfectly good write-up of his own that you can read here (and here and here), if you are very interested in news that is several months old.

Vinnk (from the internet) touches the beautiful, soft hair of Shigeto Koyama, 'mechanical' artist for the game No More Heroes.

Filmed at the Marvelous press event at Tokyo Game Show 2008, featuring the announcement of No More Heroes 2.

And there are a couple of articles I've been meaning to link to: Here is Auntie Pixelante sighing about things, and here is our friend Tracey Lien (lately of Good Game) talking about both Flash game Closure and the artwork of Alberto Giacometti. The latter article has only one comment on it so far, which is a bit disappointing, especially since it's mine.

Some deactivated robots in the back, there.

Appropriately devoid of meaning and purpose.

Thanks to Vinnk of 4CR and Rising Stuff, and Justin Smith of being-friends-with-Patrick. Actually, Justin did most of the camera-holdin' at TGS, so close your eyes really hard like "Nyooooooh!" and send him a mental thumbs-up.

So rebellious.“Let’s kick off our up-to-the-minute coverage of Tokyo Game Show with a look at all the major booths on the show floor. It’s the next best thing to being there!”

That’s the introduction I wrote to this photo feature. So when you click the link, you’re gonna see it again. Fair warning.

In preparation for Tokyo Game Show, I spent yesterday making about a hundred Eegra business cards for myself. I carved a rubber stamp, and used it on some blank cards from Yodobashi Camera. Then I added stickers! Yey!

4 eva + eva

Some of the stickers, you have to scratch with a coin to see the message beneath. INTERACTIVE!

No two cards are the same, so, if you attend Tokyo Game Show on one of the press days and happen to see me, be sure to exchange cards with me, boil inwardly in an envious rage, then later on murder me with an axe.

The Village IdiotsInspired by Tokyo Game Show, here is an ‘op ed’ about booth babes, which neither righteously condemns nor enthusiastically endorses their presence at trade shows. There's nothing in it for anyone to get angry about, I'm afraid, but if you're really keen, you're welcome to skip over the article and just get on with calling me a faggot in the forums.
