There are things happening! Let’s talk about them!

THING THE FIRST: Supanova is on this weekend, and we will be there. So, if you’re in Sydney and feel like meeting us and maybe buying a limited-edition Eegra zine or t-shirt, then by all means, swing by and say hello. Our table is in the Artists’ Alley section, directly opposite the JB Hi-Fi stand.

For your convenience, here’s a map:

(We are the red bit. Everything else is BORING SHIT.)

Also, here's a preview of our zine’s editorial page:

The zine is 24 pages large, and contains content recycled from the site, as well as some exclusive original stuff too. It is pretty good!

Now, if you can’t make it to Supanova for some reason – like, say, if you live in another country or something – then you’ll still be able to buy the zine and t-shirt from our store, which should be finished and ready to go by early next week. If you go there now, you’ll see there’s already kind of a bare bones system in place for purchasing t-shirts, but ... um ... you probably shouldn’t use it. It won’t steal your money or anything, it’s just a bit clunky is all. We’ll tell you when it’s really ready. Promise!

THING THE SECOND: The Shindig is almost finished! There's only 20 days to go now, and the forum is abuzz with activity as our brave and talented contestants strive to complete their masterpieces. Once finished, their work will be judged, and the best will receive cash prizes as compensation for their excellence. And then you – the lazy bum who didn’t bother to enter because you’re a goddamn lazy bum – will get free games to play. Truly, these are exciting times for us all.

THING THE THIRD: I meant to mention this earlier, but I have a Japanese copy of Apollo Justice on DS, and I am giving it away. See, I bought it under the mistaken assumption that it would come with an English translation a la Phoenix Wright, but since it doesn’t, I figure I might as well give it to someone who can actually read the moon-scrawl those crazy Japanese call a language. So! If you understand Japanese and would like a copy of this excellent game, then all you gotta do is write me a haiku explaining why I should give it to you. Whoever sends me the best haiku after a fortnight gets it.

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!

About a month ago, I received an email from a reader named Alan Peck that went something like this:

Hi Dan!
I make t-shirts, and would like to send you one! Is that okay?

Hugs and kisses,
Alan

Not being one to turn down free clothing from mysterious internet strangers, I of course replied:

Dear Alan,
Yes, please send me a t-shirt. Also, pants, if you have any.

Smooches,
Dan

And then, just the other day, I received THIS in the post:

In case you're ignorant of excellent videogames, it's Solid Snake (or Big Boss, if you want to be pedantic about it) from Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. So that's pretty RAD. Thanks, Alan!

Speaking of RAD t-shirts, we're going to start selling some of our own real soon. Wanna know what they look like? Well, here's a picture:

CHOKLIT

CHECK IT OUUUTTTT.

If everything goes to plan, you'll be able to buy these from our store tomorrow. They'll be $30 for one and $80 for three. All prices are in Australian funbucks, and include postage.  Alternatively, if you're in Australia and attending Supanova Sydney this month, you can buy them from us direct for a little bit less. (We'll be selling other stuff at Supanova aside from shirts, but we'll talk about that a bit later.)

Anyway, DINNER TIME.
