GRRR!We are all over these game artist blogs lately! We are clumsily flirting with them across the table, and after we get back from the loo we are sitting down right next to them, our leg pressed against theirs, and we are draping ourselves over them in what we drunkenly imagine to be a casual fashion, and loudly whispering in their ear that they ought to take us to a love hotel.

David Hellman has posted part two of his ‘The Art of Braid’ series, and to no-one’s surprise, it’s really interesting! He shows us seven versions of the same screen, demonstrating the evolution of the game’s art style, as he and Jonathan Blow guide the mutations. David also discusses the sometimes tricky relationship between – to put it in gamer terms – ‘graphics’ and ‘gameplay’. Turns out they’re interdependent, which will be a blow for some of you nerds, I’m sure.

Please note, by the way, that the location of David’s blog has changed.

Hey, remember Mighty Jill Off, that game I reviewed a short while back, and every single one of you downloaded and played because otherwise why do I bother? Well, James Harvey, the artist responsible for the game’s pretty, pretty pictures, has a LiveJournal, and recently he wrote these words on it:

“Over the next few days I'm going to be posting some of the unseen designs and preliminary art I made for the game. Turns out there's quite a bit!”

He’s talking about Mighty Jill Off, you guys! So check that shit out, DAWWWWWG!

Any other game-related artist blogs I should know about? Probably!
