Professor Layton developer Level 5’s booth has the ROID on display, which isn’t – but appears to be – a videogame console that transforms into a robot! Friggin’ cool! Nearby, there are these grey curtains.

The Sega colours are here represented by white plastic chains lying on blue carpet, on the ground right next to the stunning Yakuza 3 (PS3) display, which evokes the wealth, status and decadence of the titular Japanese gangsters.

At the D3 booth, this outlet is supplying power to a Neon Genesis Evangelion poker machine simulator for PlayStation 2. This is the year Japan brings back innovation to the games industry!

HUDSON

An oddly-placed microphone at the Hudson booth, very close to a small crowd of attendees enjoying the crazy fun of Tetris Party on the Wii!

KOEI

No boring steps at the Koei booth – these ones glow red! Whither lead they? I don’t know, but I’m guessing a Dynasty Warriors game.

MARVELOUS

The Marvelous booth lives up to its name – it’s boothy as fuck this year! This gorgeous artwork certainly gets me excited about Avalon Code (DS).
