Default The Podcast Feedback Shack

Eegra Podcast Feedback Fred

The purpose of this thread is to act as a feedback box for our fortnightly podcast. Since this is the first podcast we've ever done, it's still very much a work in progress, and will continue to be so for some time. Hence the need for your feedback.

To help get your critical faculties into gear, here are a few topics in which we're especially interested:

Content: What kind of stuff would you like to see more/less of in the podcast? What kind of guests would you like us to have on the show? What about music?

Length: How long is too long?

Technical Feedback: Is there anything technically amiss with the podcast? Hardware, software, streaming services, feed services, syndication services - if you have anything to say about any of these things, let us know.

Tips: If there's something - be it a game, a piece of news, a press release, a review, a preview, a song, or whatever - that you think we ought to cover in the podcast, then post it here.

ATTENTION CREATIVE TYPES:

If you're a musician and have a piece of music that you think we might like to play on the podcast, then by all means, send us a link! We can't guarantee that we'll actually play your song, but we'll definitely give it a listen.

This goes for any interesting audio content: interviews, plays, fake ads, skits - whatever. So long as it isn't copyrighted, of course.

Thanks!
THE EEGRA PEOPLE

it sucks already and it isn't even out yet

But seriously, podcast? Dunno about these things. I'll check it out, if I know how.

I'm guessing it's like if someone read a Total Gamer? Out loud? I dunno (again).

EDIT: Holy accents. Dan has quite the accent. And Patrick's voice is deeper then you'd think.
Also, it's actually pretty funny.

"relying on our natural talent"
"yeah"
*silence*

Good one, bros, this'll make my 7:30am slightly less tedious.

Edit: 'bout 30 minutes in. Patrick, quit gettin' mad at videogames. ( '<

Hey, Patrick, you shouldn't have to grind in Mother 3 unless you're terrible! Sorry. =(

I don't listen to podcasts. I am not a fan of podcasts.
That being said, I listened to the whole thing. I laughed and enjoyed the music. Wouldn't change a thing.

Listening to it right now. The "frothing demand" game was Ikaruga.

Your description of Advance Wars sounds familiar

I played a big chunk of the campaign from the American Days of Ruin, and I don't remember them saying the troops were robotic, but the factories were run by robots, providing a totally not contrived explanation for why they're just sitting there waiting to start up and can be flipped to the other side in a single day. So I suppose the troops could've been robots too. I really hated the script for Days of Ruin because it just seemed like the same characters and setting I've seen in every JRPG ever. Advance Wars may have made light of a serious topic, but at least it had some personality.

I enjoyed the cast. Some annotation would be appreciated. Just a list of some of the websites and people you talk about would be good. I can't copy and paste your voices. Also the babelfish piece was great. You should try ressurecting eye upon deviantART in the podcast.

Yeah, we realised that after I had posted it, and by that point neither of us could be fucked. From now on, though, every podcast will be accompanied by a summary and links to whatever sites we mention.

Just curious, but what boss in Mother 3 are you up to? I probably know how to massacre it from past playthroughs.

Anyway, twas a pretty good podcast, all-in-all! That was pretty awesome. Weird hearing Pat with a deeper (maybe just louder) voice then Dan. I always read Patch's posts with a highish voice, because that's how my mind conveys wackiness, but it's like "I'M PATCH".
