I'm waiting for Disaster Movie to be released on DVD, so I can rent it.

I liked Meet the Spartans, because it turned one of the most boring movies I've ever seen(300) into something disgustingly digestable. And gay.

"Hi-fives for the women, open-mouth tongue kisses for the men."

And the various culture bastardizations couldn't hurt.

What, for not liking 300? Or for the whole 'wanting to rent Disaster Movie' thing?

I'm not going to lie to you, I liked the cinematography in 300. Actually, I liked quite a bit of 300, everything except the dialogue. The dialogue was... well... terrible. But that's okay because most of the movie was people dying in slow motion.

Haven't watched Meet the Spartans, and I won't, ever.

I was particularly enamored with the camerawork in 300. They found a way to increase the 'energy' in the fight sequences while still letting me know what was happening through use of slow motion, rather than the shaky blurry mess that most of today's fight scenes are.

Totally agree -- I hate wobbly-cam fight/battle scenes. The action in 300 was gorgeous. But, too much of the movie was not-action -- really, really tedious not-action.

I like the way you think!

I think I complement everything you post too much.

300 would have been better if it was about half the length it was. All the non-action sequences were boring and the action got repetitive. And why the frack did they throw in that pointless subplot with the queen? It's pretty silly especially considering the rest of the movie was obsessed with treating the source material like dogma. I was way more entertained by the trailer than the movie itself.

But all of that has nothing to do with Disaster Movie! This does though http://contest.disastermovie.org/?page_id=182. Holy crap this movie is awful. I like how it takes product placement to a whole new level and includes THREE commercials inside the movie itself.

300 could have been a cinema masterpiece if after the title showed it went straight to "THIS IS SPARTA" and followed with 2 hours of violence. The plot was unnecessary.
