Laundry Time: Silly Game

I am entering the realm of the shindig with my great game, Laundry Time (title may change). It is about a bird-man named Yenri who needs to sort his laundry. This is also the silliest game in this entire shindig. I have never before made a game so I'm sticking with something simple.

So far: Yenri can walk back and forth amongst three(!) laundry baskets. There is a gross background reminiscent of your favorite crappy laundromat. I made a small pixel font too (actually took it from unrelated project involving yarn and Rogue).

I bet you can't guess what the gameplay consists of.

My favorite is the arcade machine. I need to fix the counter.

The top intentionally left blank so other stuff can fit in (but I might put LAUNDROMAT in blue letters if it doesn't interfere with the other stuff).

Now onto the actual gameplay (most difficult part).

Wow that is yellow and awsomely so. Will Ghost Poof be a minigame? Perhaps with a laundry sorting minigame hidden inside of it

I might animate the little screen inside of Ghost Poop if it's not too distracting (or make a bonus .gif), but I think I need to get better at programming before making a minigame...

Oh so neglected!

I am currently working on the code for this silly nonsense. Draring is the easy part (though I am a terrible drarer); coding is more difficult because I have never done it before (not counting html/css), but it is tons of fun and now I am regretting choosing a major with very little programming in it (not). So far, pressing space while over a basket makes a window pop up, and there is a ton of half-finished code for randomising clothing, scoring, and misc. nonsense.

Good music may be a problem, but there will definitely be an abomination of a soundtrack filled with Garageband backgrounds and the sultry sound of a shrieking soprano singing improvised nonsense about household chores.
