A bit late to the party but I'm seriously thinking of trying out this shindig thingmagig. I got a fairly good concept floating in my head and if I manage to make it into an interesting game I'll enter it.

One question: My entry would be made in Game Maker 7. GM7 can make standalone executables that run on Windows platforms with updated DirectX. So is it okay to use it?

The mouse pointer didn't show, but it should be over the purplish circle with the red/green/blue circles around it.
