Default Hallo.

Shindig, yay! I'm wondering what sort of minimum system hardware requirements there are, if any? I'm a terrible coder. Industrious, but inefficient and messy. I make a sidescroller and it grinds up a core 2 duo. As far as I can tell, it runs pretty smoothly on a pentium 4 and up, and there are adjustable settings depending on how badly the player wants to see dual parallax backgrounds with alpha blending.

Also hello. This website makes me happy inside. The only other Australian-and-geek related website I've seen is ZGeek, which is kind of... bogan. And sticky.

Whoops! I meant to respond to this, but then completely forgot.

Anyway, there aren't any minimum system requirements as such, but games that run well on (or scale well for) low-to-mid spec systems will generally be looked upon more favourably than those that don't. Ultimately, we want to release these games for everyone, so it kind of defeats the purpose if most people don't have a machine beefy enough to play them.

Wow, impressive start so far!

What engine are you using?

I started from scratch. That I got collision detection alone working was a miracle in itself. FreeBASIC.

So anyway, bit of a touch-up.

Looks *very* promising, and the main character is so cute!

In that case I'm even more impressed. I'm intrigued as to how colour plays a role.

Very cool! Is the character a personified printer cardridge?

It's not slow, clunky, and inefficient cause you are a bad coder, it's slow, clunky, and inefficient because you are using FreeBASIC.
